Amazon Shipping 8.9 Kindle Fire HD Earlier than Planned

The retail giant has already started the shipping of their 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD tablet PCs a week earlier than it was announced. The 8.9 inch version of Kindle Fire HD was supposed to hit the shelves in the shopping season but unexpectedly Amazon started the shipping.

The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD Wi-Fi version from Amazon starts at a price of $299 for 16GB model while a 32 GB version costs about $369. However the 4G version of the Kindle Fire HD will be available next week and costs about $499 for a 32GB model and if that 32 GB is not enough then you can always go for the 64 GB one that has a price tag of $599. VP Amazon Kindle, Dave Limp said in a press conference, “With the holiday season upon us, we’re excited to make our $299 Kindle Fire HD 8.9” available early.”

Interested buyers can order their Kindle Fire HD that suits best to their needs on or they could either stop by at any Best Buy store tomorrow to grab their Kindle Fire HD. Amazon’s 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD will also be available at other retailer stores like Staple and RadioShack in the coming weeks so they can also buy from there if they are patient enough. The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD comes with an HD display that has a resolution of 1920 by 1200 to 254 ppi. It also comes with a front facing HD camera for video calling, taking pictures and making videos. The device is also equipped with dual speakers and will get about 10 hours of battery life, as defined by Amazon.
