How to Crack Android Pattern Lock | Guide to Crack the Android Pattern Lock
Have you ever put a complicated pattern lock and forgot it? If you have then you know better how annoying it feels. This pattern lock feature in Android is a moderate security feature and provides complete privacy for you if it is handled correctly. Though if you have already forgotten the pattern lock and not finding any way to breach it then now there is a way to do it.
XDA Senior Member m.sabra has posted two methods to crack the Android pattern lock. Though you need to enable the USB Debugging and install ADB to make those two methods work. While rooting isn’t required in order to crack the Android pattern lock though rooting on the other hand is highly recommended. Both methods crack the pattern lock in their own different ways. The first method basically edits the values of some variable to zero while the second method simply removes the gesture.key completely. If one of the methods doesn’t work for you then try both of them together as the developer said:
You can try both of them,here is how I managed to remove the lock:
1- run the first method.
3-run the second method
This method is strictly intended for the ones who have locked up their device and has not been able to get out of it instead of breaking into someone’s locked phone. This method only works when you have the USB Debugging mode enabled so it is a good reminder that you don’t keep it enabled all the time. The method is quite simple though with just a simple set of commands.
Here’s the code that you will need to enter:
update system set value=0 where name=’lock_pattern_autolock’;
update system set value=0 where name=’lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently‘;
In this coding each line is a separate command so press enter before entering the other command or line in this case.
Here’s the code for the second method:
adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key
In this coding the line is a single command so press enter after completing the command or a single line in easy words.
After entering both the set of coding, reboot your device and then you might see the pattern lock again but that is just a random one so draw any pattern and it should unlock. Then remove the pattern lock from security settings. This method may not work with all the devices but it does with most of them. So all you can do is try your luck, hope that it works for your device. Good Luck.
