Jelly Bean update released for US Motorola Wi-Fi version of Xoom Tablet
Since the release of Google’s new operating system Jelly Bean, the company is working on releasing the updates for the latest and those devices that are compatible with the new operating system. The first of the devices to receive the Jelly Bean updates were Nexus devices like Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Samsung Google Nexus S while Google’s newly launched tablet Nexus 7 comes pre installed with the Jelly Bean. And now finally the wait is over for the US Motorola Xoom owners, as the Jelly Bean update hits the US Wi-Fi version of the Motorola Xoom.
Now that you know Jelly Bean update is available you definitely want to know how to update your Xoom tablet. To update your Xoom manually, you should be currently running on the official Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich IMM76 firmware, as the OTA is an incremental update. Now to do so you will need a USB host cable of course, to flash the update manually as you have to change the update file to update.zip and then put onto your SD card and then flash it from the stock recovery. You can download the Jelly Bean update from the Google’s servers and follow this guide to install the update on your Xoom. For any more further information check out this thread.
