Transit: A new app from Nokia facilitates commuting

For people who are commuting everyday to new and interesting places, having a GPS on their phone is like a blessing. But for people traveling by bus or subway, existing apps are not the most exciting ones that can help them in getting around. For this Nokia has developed a free app called Transit, that includes directions for places in more than 100 cities in the world.

This user friendly, functional app, that runs on Nokia Lumia 610, 710, 800 and 900, will enable commuters using bus or subway to get to anywhere from their current location as long as its within the same city. It not just gives you the direction but even tells you the best time to exactly leave for your destination, as well as the expected arrival time. It gives you step by step instructions, alternative routes, as well as how long it will take you to ride, walk and wait.

Even if you are not sure what bus or subway to get on to, just pin your destination to the main menu and hop on to anything! How amazing can that be? No more time wasted in thinking and trying to figure out where to get off and where to turn! You can also add your favorite destinations as a part of your start screen. Getting lost can now be fun with this new app, especially in an electrifying city like Manhattan. The transport nearby option will always let you find your way back. Work is being done to add more cities from around the world to this app. So wait and enjoy when your city makes its way into this striking app.
