Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4 has been released to make custom IPSW files for baseband preservation but still there is no luck for owners of A5 devices. Sn0wbreeze allows you to make pre-jailbroken IPSW and once you restore to this custom IPSW, you will have Cydia pre-installed on your device. The latest 5.1.1 (9B208) of iphone 4 GSM is also excluded since Apple pushed out this new firmware earlier this morning. All A4 devices including iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPad 1 and others are supported. For all A5 users who rely on carrier unlock and want to preserve your baseband, don’t upgrade to 5.1.1. To bypass the activation screen, your only option is to buy a prepaid sim card for the original carrier that your iPhone is locked to. There has been some improvements in this new version.
- Added the 5.1.1/9B206 untether that was released with today’s absinthe update.
- Added 5.0/9B206f (Apple TV 2) support.
- Minor UI changes.
- Bug Fixes.
